What we stand for

We became St Andrew’s in May 2003 having formerly been two churches, Christ Church United Reformed Church and Benton Methodist Church, which joined together. We are actively seeking to show the unity of the people of Jesus Christ through the way we bring together two Christian traditions.

Once we had brought the two congregations together, we then embarked on major redevelopment of our building which was completed in June 2008.

We are actively exploring how we can be better followers of Jesus, share God’s Word, and how we will respond to thefair trade logo issues in our world today.

We are a Fair Trade church, taking care to use Fair Trade products whenever we can. Once a month, we have a Fair Trade stall after the Sunday morning service, where fair trade products can be bought.

People tell us we are a very friendly church, and the warmth of our welcome is an important part of who we are.

We welcome everyone and our building is fully accessible, with toilets for the disabled on each level and a lift to all floors.
